Jessica Scare

My poor daughter. We weren't trying to be mean or anything but this is classic. Jessica scares so easily, which makes her an easy target. Love how she slams the door in our faces. Hahaha. Reminds me of when my oldest daughter, Shelby, had gone to the Haunted House during Halloween. As she and her friends were running from the ghosts, goblins, and chainsaw dude, a man popped up in a picture frame. Shelby turned around and immediately punched the guy in the face. Luckily, no charges were filed.

Reinvent Yourself!

I love this time of year! The tulips are in bloom, the leaves are budding on the trees, and the grass is velvet green. And, of course, love is in the air! Spring is a time of fresh starts, a time rebirth. Now is the perfect time to work on a whole new you by renewing and  reinventing yourself. It's not as hard as it sounds, but it can be scary. Here are a few pointers that I am doing which you may find helpful for yourself as well.Take the first step toward reinventing yourself here.

Write It Out

First, I am a strong advocate in keeping a journal, and I encourage you to get one for the purpose of reinventing yourself.  This particular journal is where you will write your goals and aspirations. Then you will write down the steps you will take to reach them. How will this change you physically? Mentally? Spiritually? Does it mean getting a new hairstyle or changing your wardrobe? Does it mean getting healthy and starting a new fitness regime? Explore every avenue to reinvent yourself by writing about it in your journal. Then take a look at it in a year’s time to see how far you have come. Here, you can be whoever you want to be!

Imagination

We can use our imaginations to soar to new heights and visualize how you want your future to look. Do you see yourself as a successful entrepreneur? Or driving a yellow souped-up 1966 Chevelle? Perhaps you envision yourself living in your dream home. Or going on vacation with your family and swimming with the dolphins. Your possibilities are endless when it comes to your imagination.

Reminders

The subconscious mind can be very effective as a reminder that you know exactly what the new you will look like. This can be achieved by placing reminders around your home. My sister-in-law posted a picture of a beautiful model on the inside of her refrigerator. This was more effective than having it on the outside because, as she reached for the food in the refrigerator, her subconscious mind saw the photo and helped her make healthier food choices. Another reminder is to cut out photos of what your dream home will look like and glue them to a poster board. Or perhaps get a model of the Empire State Building if your desire is to visit New York City. Visual reminders speak to the subconscious mind in more ways than we think.

Take Action

If you’ve made  a pact to reinvent yourself, then you must take action. Nothing is going to happen by itself. You must take action to eat healthier or to lose weight. You must take action to write in your journal every day. You must take action to make your dreams a reality. Only you and you alone can reinvent the new you. Do not rely on others or let others sabotage your goal to reinvent yourself.

I know. It’s scary. But your fears could be the very thing that’s keeping you from living your dreams. You don’t have to do it all at once. Take baby steps and gradually build up to the new you because you know you’re worth it

Don’t let your fears keep you from achieving your dreams! Move past them by clickinghere and live the life you want to live!
